Why we chose Porchlight as our Charity for 2025

Imagine working hard, paying rent every month and keeping up with bills – and then everything changing in the blink of an eye. It could be a message telling you to move out because a relationship has broken down, or an eviction notice because your landlord has decided to sell.

The security you felt just a short time ago slips away. Before you know it, you’re forced to sleep in a shop doorway or in your car – scared and alone.

You could give a warm bed and hot shower to somebody who’s found themselves on the streets with nothing but a sleeping bag and the clothes on their back. You could provide them with safety and security so they no longer have to sleep in a damp doorway or a dirty underpass.
